Fairdale Tornado Survivor Dies One Day After Her Home is Rebuilt

87-year-old Irene Clay  lost her battle to cancer on Tuesday, September 15, 2015; just one day after the rebuild of her home was finished that the Fairdale tornado destroyed on April 9, 2015.

Ms. Clay's dying wish was to spend her last days in her home, and community members worked hard to fulfill that wish. They did finish the work ahead of schedule, but unfortunately Irena Clay passed away before she got the chance to enjoy her new home.
