It's Spring in the Stateline and that means the official start of the construction season. The first major project of the Spring will cause delays in Loves Park. Details here.

The construction season begins with a major road repair that will reduce the intersection of Riverside Boulevard and Forest Hills Road to one lane in all directions. Construction officials state they hope to have all repairs completed by April 2 with weather permitting.

The key to safe driving in this area and any construction zone is to expect the unexpected. I.D.O.T. reported more than 4,300 car crashes happen in work zones last year in Illinois.

Be safe out there.
