Changes in policy at Starbucks is causing a stir among employees. It's all a part of a new dress code adopted by the coffee giant earlier this month. You won't believe what is causing all the commotion.
New rules at Starbucks have employees up in arms. The new dress code policy allows most tattoos and even nose studs, but no watches, bracelets, or engagement rings with stones because of food safety rules.

"I'm not stirring someone's drink with my ring," said a long-time employee, who asked to remain anonymous for fear of losing her job. "It's awesome they now allow you to wear tattoos, but it seems weird to not allow anyone to wear a wedding ring. A lot of people are upset." stated an employee according to KOMONews.com.

The new guidelines are based on FDA food safety guidelines, a company spokesperson said. He emphasized that employees can still wear plain wedding bands - just no rings with stones.

Starbucks employees have started a petition online, asking the company to consider changing its new jewelry policy. Others have taken to social media to voice their concerns.

What do you think? Are you worried about "stones" falling into your Grande?
