Well here's some good news to share about Rockford.

East High School was just awarded a bronze medal by U.S. News and World Reports.

According to U.S. New and World Report (via WREX) report, this is the second year in a row that East High School made the magazine's list of the "Best High Schools".

The magazine's list evaluates more then 29,000 schools across the country for its 2015 rankings. Within that list the "state of Illinois has 677 high schools eligible for the rankings. 17 received gold, 69 received silver and 91 received bronze distinctions."

That is really good news. Especially for the new, incoming principle Dr. Peter Verona.

Congratulations to the hardworking faculty, staff and students!
