The Discovery Center named one of the 50 top attractions

Just announced by Flipkey.com, the vacation rental company of leading travel site TripAdvisor, The Discovery Center Museum in Rockford is one of the 50 most loved and most talked about family attractions to travel to in the United States. The list includes not only children’s museums, but zoos, botanical gardens, natural history museums and science centers.

The Discovery Center Museum was recognized as the top family attraction in Illinois!

“We are very proud of our museum for earning the top spot in Illinois,” explains Sarah Wolf, executive director of Discovery Center Museum. “We are always happy to bring positive recognition to our museum and to the Rockford Region,” she added.

In 2013, Discovery Center served almost 136,000 visitors on site and another 72,000 through the museum’s outreach programs.
