Dierks Bentley is ready for some football! The country star will help kick off the 2016-2017 NFL season with a performance during a season-opening special event.

Bentley will perform as part of the 2016 NFL Kick Off Presented By Hyundai TV special, which will air on Sept. 8, on both NBC and the NFL Network, at 7:30PM ET, just before the Carolina Panthers face off against the Denver Broncos for a rematch of Super Bowl 50. The "Somewhere on a Beach" singer will be highlighted in the hour-long pre-game show, which will also feature One Republic.

Bentley won't be the only country singer that fans will see on TV on the NFL's opening night this year: Carrie Underwood is once again singing the Sunday Night Football theme song for the 2016-2017 NFL season. For her fourth season as the star of the SNF theme, Underwood worked with the writers of her and Miranda Lambert‘s Grammy-nominated hit “Somethin’ Bad" to turn the song into "Oh, Sunday Night."

“It has such a great stomp-clap, a “We Will Rock You” kind of feel to it,” says Underwood. “This is such a high-energy song.”

Bentley recently announced that he is extending his 2016 Somewhere on a Beach Tour; he'll now stay on the road through the end of October. His most recent album, Black, is available for purchase on Amazon and iTunes.
