Demolition Coming To East State Street in Rockford

The building that used to be Old Ryan's Steakhouse and the House of Buffet on East State Street is being torn down. Here's what will replace it.

Chances are, you've driven by the Old Ryan's Steakhouse and the House of Buffet on East State Street in Rockford and said to yourself "Why doesn't somebody tear that mess down?". Well, someone is.

According to WIFR TV-23, "The Director of Community and Economic Development for the City of Rockford, Todd Cagnoni, states it will be torn down and the remainder of that building will be turned into an orthodontist office".

Demolition and construction will start soon as the weather becomes more favorable.
