JC Penney takes up 55,00 square feet in the Northland Plaza shopping center, 2540 Sycamore Road, DeKalb. Holly Estler, the leasing agent with DLC Management Corp declined to comment further on details of the store or the closing.JC Penney operates about 1,060 stores across the country.

It's a restructuring by the company for 2015. Sad news anytime communities lose a business partner.
