Thanks to Darius Rucker, a lot of people will be in the holiday spirit. Not only is he helping to send a listener home for the holidays, but he's in New York tonight for a traditional Christmas tradition.

Darius Rucker is helping to set a holiday mood in New York City. The singer, who recently released his first seasonal album, Home For The Holidays, is a late addition to Wednesday's NBC special "Christmas in Rockefeller Center."

The show includes songs of the season along with the lighting of the famous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.

Trisha Yearwood and LeAnn Rimes are also on board for the event, along with Mariah CareyCyndi LauperIdina Menzel, and others.

The "Today" show's Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, and Natalie Morales will host "Christmas in Rockefeller Center," which airs at 7:00 p.m. Rockford time.
