The Dakota Indians volleyball team won a state title in 2011, and finished as runner-up in 2012. Now the Lady Indians return to state with their sights set on bringing home a title this weekend.

According to WREX Sports, they hope to be enjoying another state title Saturday afternoon. First they have to get through Watseka Friday at 1:30 at Redbird Arena on the campus of Illinois State University. It is going to be a big weekend for Dakota Indian fans.

Good luck to coach Shannon Williams and her Lady Indians. A lot of the starters on the team are seniors who have been a major part of The Dakota Indians success.

"They've been leaders for us for years," Williams said. "They're very athletic. They're very talented. But they're just great kids to be around. They make my job more enjoyable."
