D.I.Y. Three Ingredient Body Scrub
With the fall season upon us and winter right around the corner, you know what that means. Dry air which makes our skin dry and itchy.
You can fix that by making this easy and all natural D.I.Y. three ingredient body scrub.
According to the recipe from Green and Clean Mom, all you need are as follows:
1 cup of Sugar (white or brown)
1/2 cup of Coconut Oil
1 tsp Lemon Juice (or lime)
Mix together in a bowl until it makes a squishy paste consistency. Then scoop into air tight container. This makes about 10 ounces of scrub.
I used a jar from a previous store bought body scrub. As you can see in the picture it was too small. I wound up putting the extra in a small food container.
Also for the sugar I used the refined because that's what I had on hand. If have raw sugar you can use that or brown sugar. And, if you don't have a fresh lemon you can use lemon juice in the bottle.
This is super easy to make, smells good and it's good for your body as it is all natural.
This scrub is perfect for those rough patches on your heels and elbows, to use as an all over scrub to make your skin feel smooth and awesome. It's great to use before any waxing procedure (legs, bikini, under arms, etc...). Plus, this works well for spray tanning. Your skin must be exfoliated before hand to help the spray tan adhere and stay on your skin longer.
