Shopping at work today?  Welcome to the club! 48.6% of us will do some holiday shopping at the office today, so you are not alone. No doubt you are aware that today is the one of the busiest online shopping days of the year. Welcome to Cyber Monday! Have fun shopping, but do it with extreme care.

We all enjoy the comfort and ease of browsing our computers rather than dealing with the hassle of going to a store.

NBC NEWS reports that online sales for Cyber Monday are predicted to grow 15% from last year, to reach $2.6 billion. Even stores locally are seeing the shift to online sales.

"We had a 24 percent increase year over year in our online space, so huge increase," said Best Buy Assistant Store Manager of Sales Tim Adams. "We're going to have a big big focus on that this year."

Cyber Monday is a key part of those sales.

Beware of the Cyber Scammers! Here are some things to look out for.

• Use only use secure websites for shopping.
• Be cautious of shopping on public computers. Avoid this if possible.
• Stick with companies you know. Don't click on attachments and URLs in unsolicited emails.
• Debit Card: NO!  Always use a credit card.

Of course the most obvious rule of thumb: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
