According to Rockford Register Star, "Fine art and fine dining are being combined to create a unique Pop-Up Restaurant experience at Rockford Art Museum. Dinners will take place at the museum, 711 N. Main St., Rockford, on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Participating restaurants are Abreo (Feb. 28); GreenFire (March 28); Alchemy (April 25); and Toni’s of Winnebago (May 23)."

The first of these events will take place next Wednesday with the participation of Abreo with chef and owner Paul Sletten. Art viewing has never really been something I would take part in, but food and dining are definitely passions of mine. If you are willing to feed me, I am down for almost anything. If art is your thing, this will be something you want to check out.

“Guests are going to be surrounded by beautiful food and beautiful works of art. It should be fun,” Sletten said to the RRstar. “For the menu, we chose to go with something hearty and warm, a rustic Italian. We tried to stick with local ingredients, and that is a big part of what we do on a regular basis at Abreo.”

I hear Abreo is skilled in the art of making amazing cocktails. Fingers crossed on whether they will bring their amazing skills with them next Wednesday or not.
