The wait, the rumors, the gossip. It's all over as the Cubs introduced their new six-year, $155-million man in a press conference Monday. Jon Lester made it clear to the city of Chicago that he's ready to put in the work and get a World Series title back on the North Side for the first time since 1908.

According to CSNChicago, Jon Lester told reporters "I want to win regardless of where I'm at. That's something we talked about extensively when we met. I believe in the plan that they have in place right now for the future of the Cubs."

He also went on to say that the chance with the Cubs was about the right fit at the right time. Now he's fully buying into the plan and the Cubs' brass is ecstatic to have him on board.

As a side note, in the movie "Back To The Future 2" sequel, McFly sees a billboard congratulating the Cubs on winning the world series. The year McFly was in was 2015 at the time. Coincidence? Time will tell.
