Cubs Hold No Ill Will With Steve Bartman and Show It With a Gift
Steve Bartman. That's a name that almost all Cubs fans shudder to hear.
However, the Cubs hold no ill will. To show that all's forgiven, they gave him the coolest gift ever.
With the World Series curse finally broken, the Steve Bartman debacle is almost all forgotten and the Chicago Cubs are there to prove it is in the past and needs to stay there.
The Cubs confirmed, according to DNAInfo, that they gave Steve an official World Series ring. Yep. The the exact ring that all of the players received.
So what does Steve have to say about all of this?
Mr. Bartmen said, "Although I do not consider myself worthy of such an honor, I am deeply moved and sincerely grateful to receive an official Chicago Cubs 2016 World Series Championship ring."
Now how's that to show true forgiveness? Offering an olive branch to this poor man that's been cursed and chastised since knocking the ball away from Moises Alou back in 2003.
That's why you just gotta love the Chicago Cubs. This team is the most professional and caring team in the MLB. At least that's my opinion.
