Anthony Rizzo is a great first baseman for the Chicago Cubs. What really makes him a great guy is his generous gift to a child battling Leukemia.

Two year old Parker Hopkins, according to WGN was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

His family started a facebook page, Parker Strong, to help keep family and friends up to date on Parker's health and medical journey and as a way to raise funds to help pay for the medical bills.  Well interesting enough this page caught the eye of Cubs first baseman, Anthony Rizzo.

You'll never believe what he did next.

He wrote the family a letter, explaining his own battle with cancer at the age of 18. He talked about what kept him going is being positive and how he wants this to be what keeps Parker and his family going. Then, if that wasn't enough, he enclosed $2,500 to help the family out!

Oh my gosh! How cool is that?

I've attached the letter below for you to read.

It brought tears to my eyes. What a selfless gift for him to do. If the Hopkins family aren't Cubs fans then they should be or at least a big Anthony Rizzo fan.

Anthony Rizzo, regardless of what the Cubs do the rest of the season you will always be a winner in my book. What you did is bigger than winning the world series.
