Prom is such a special time in a teenage girl's life. Sometimes the cost can dash her dream of going.

That's where this Crystal Lake organization steps in to make it affordable for girls in Northern Illinois to go.

It's hard to believe but prom is right around the corner and My Sister's Dress is ready for it.

The Northwest Herald reports that the nonprofit organization is holding their sale of prom dresses and accessories on March 10th at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center, 10450 W. Algonquin Road, Huntley.

This organization was dreamed up between two "sister-in-laws Whitney Ruth and Emily Smith, the pair, along with friends and family members, [with the idea of providing] a resource to make prom affordable for all."

All of the prom dresses and accessories are donated and the organization turns around and sells them to customers for just $25. That's right you get a beautiful poofy, sparkly dress for just $25 that's it. How awesome is that?

"The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 10 and admission is free. Donations will be accepted through March 9 at a variety of McHenry County locations." To see the donations sites and to learn more about the dress sale visit their Facebook page: My Sister's Dress.

This is so cool. I so wish I was back in high school. Id love to go to prom and not spend a lot of coin to do it either.
