Country Thunder Headliners

Country Thunder in Twin Lakes Wisconsin just announced the new line up for the 4 day festival coming up July 21 through July 24 2016. Here's the line up and a few tips on how to be a part of this big country party, rain or shine.

After earning the 2015 "Festival Of The Year" Award from the Academy of Country Music, Country Thunder comes back strong with an incredible schedule featuring today's biggest stars.

Here are a few tips.

Tickets: Do not wait to see if your buddy can hook you up after the 4th of July. It's probably not going to happen and you'll be left out. Go to the Country Thunder Banner at Q985online.com and order your tickets now. There are a few 4-Day passes available and make great gifts. Single day tickets will be available soon if there is enough room in the concert bowl.

Accommodations: There are a few campsites available for 4-Day Camping. Same thing, get them through Q985online.com.

There are hotel rooms in nearby Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. There is a shuttle that runs from Lake Geneva to the Country Thunder grounds throughout the weekend for a fee. However, room rates go up and room availability goes fast since people there last year may have already booked rooms.  I've seen people sleeping in cars too, but that is not encouraged.

Travel: Twin Lakes Wisconsin is about 1 hour and 15 minutes away from Rockford. The drive along 173 to Richmond, Illinois is a long and dark route. Just make sure you have a designated driver and plenty of sleep.

Food: There is a McDonald's in Richmond, Illinois you pass going to Thunder and returning. Always good. Also, there are other fast food restaurants and convenience stores in Richmond to get you through your weekend needs.
