Concerning News for Jeff Gordon Fans

I just read something that sadden me.

It's really  concerning news to all Jeff Gordon fans.

Jeff Gordon is considering retirement. What???!!!After experiencing severe back pain during his run at the Coca-Cola 600 on Memorial Day, The 42 year old NASCAR driver (reported in Yahoo News) said that "If this happens many more times, he won't have a choice [but to retire]."

On Sunday, June 1st, he finished 15th in the FedEx 400 at the Dover International Speedway. He said he was feeling a bit better and "back closer to normal, which is just always aggravation and discomfort." but he "felt good in the car."

This is sad news. I like Jeff Gordon, in fact he was one of my favorite drivers, before my love Ryan Newman. Jeff was the reason I got into watching NASCAR. Besides being cute, he was and is a great driver to watch.

I hope they can find the source of his back pain problems and get him better. I would hate to see something like this take a guy like this out of his game!
