The Rockford Board of Fire and Police Commissioners is currently looking for a search firm to help find qualified candidates for the Rockford Police Chief position, but in the meantime they want to hear what the community is looking for in their next police chief.

To receive this needed information Alderman will be holding several meetings open to Stateline residents beginning this Thursday, December 10.

Here is the meeting schedule so far broken down by wards:

  • December 10, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at the Millennium Center for wards three, five and eleven.
  • December 15, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at Flinn Middle School for wards six, eight, and fourteen.
  • December 17, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Cathedral for wards three, seven, nine and twelve.

More meetings will be announced as they are scheduled, but if you would like to email your suggestions, send them to the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners secretary, Ian Linnabary, at ikl@renozahm.com, or mail a letter to his office at:
