Cherry Valley Police Warn Residents About Possible Scammer

Cherry Valley may have just been named the fourth safest place to live in Illinois, but CV police are now warning area residents and businesses about a man named "Mike" who is claiming to be soliciting money for the Rockford Police Department.

Cherry Valley residents have also reported receiving phone calls of the same nature, but that the man is claiming to be from the Illinois State Police Department. Rockford residents are now also reporting getting similar calls.
