Check out Rockford’s Gem This Weekend

Recently, I was at the Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens for a fundraiser, and I had the chance to experience this new, magical place in Rockford. I was totally impressed with the new facility and artistic gem in our area. Here's a small sample.When you pull into Sinnissippi Gardens at 1354 North 2nd Street, a giant circular drive greets you and it is stunning. The flowers, the banners, and the colors.

Venture past the entrance and the vegetation, the Lagoon, and waterfalls take you away. You have to remember you are in Rockford Illinois and not in an exotic location.

Bravo to the Rockford Park District for maintenance and creating a true location to relax and unwind. Mix in the Rockford Trolley Car passing by, and you have a true destination to experience in our own back yard.

Take some time this 4th of July weekend and experience the beautiful scenery along the Rockford River... You'll be just as proud as I am of our city.
