After weeks of speculation, it’s finally official. Thirteen-time ACM Awards winner Carrie Underwood will deliver new music — a brand new single — at the 2018 ACM Awards.

The news came Monday morning (April 9) via press release, though Underwood has been teasing fans with a slew of hints that something big was coming, sharing various pics on her official Instagram page showing her both in the studio and rehearsing on stage.

Her 2018 ACM Awards performance will serve as her first one since November, when she sustained injuries from a fall at her Nashville-area home just a day after her CMA Awards hosting gig. In addition to the unveiling of her new single, Underwood will also be on hand in Las Vegas as a nominee, currently up for both Female Vocalist of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year for "The Fighter" with Keith Urban.

Underwood’s performance is sure to give country music fans yet another thing to look forward to during the awards show, which will also include performances by Lauren Alaina, Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan,Kenny Chesney, Kelly Clarkson, Florida Georgia Line, Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Midland, Maren Morris, Jon Pardi, Bebe Rexha, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and Brett Young.

And while many are sure to tune in to the performance to see how Underwood has recovered from her injury that required 40 stitches, true blue country fans will undoubtedly tune in simply to see their favorite artist on stage once again, doing what she does best.
