Set your calendars now for a very special treat, the Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train will be making a stop in Byron on Friday, December 2, 2016.

This is the 18th year Canadian Pacific has decked out two trains in their holiday best for a tour through Canada and the United States. This unique experience is guaranteed to put you in the holiday mood with live musical performances, tons of holiday cheer, and even a visit from Santa himself!

This tour is made every year to bring awareness for local food banks, and to collect money and canned goods for the needy during the holiday season. The stop is free to attend, but anyone who comes to watch the show is encouraged to bring a can good for donation. The cool part is, all the money and can goods that are collected at the Byron stop will remain in the area to help our neighbors in need.

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will be stopping in Byron on Friday, December 2 at Tower Road near the High School at 12:45 p.m. with the show starting at 1 p.m.

My advice? Get there early so you can get a spot up front like I did when the holiday train last made a stop in Byron in 2014. This year's stop will feature different performers, but here's a look at what fun is in store when the holiday train comes back to Byron this year.
