If you have lived in the stateline for some time, there a good chance that you bought a car or know someone who purchased a vehicle from Roger Bryden. Roger Bryden, longtime owner and face of Bryden Motors in Beloit passed way over the weekend.

The Rock River Times reports that word came from a company spokesmen that Bryden suffered a heart attack over the weekend while fishing in Canada. He had recently celebrated his 50th year with the company.

The Beloit Daily News reports that while Bryden started at his father’s dealership in 1963. In 1982 he purchased a local Oldsmobile and Nissan dealership. After his father's passing in 1984, Roger Bryden became the principal of both dealerships. He eventually sold the Oldsmobile dealership to concentrate on the Broad Street location.

Roger Bryden is survived by his wife and three children.
