‘Breast Yard Sale’ Continues

When I first moved to this area, I had no idea what the 'Breast Garage Sale' was about. After finding out what it was about, it touched me. 

My mom found out she had breast cancer back in 2007. It was a rare form, and she was already at stage 4. She fought hard for almost 3 years. Now, I come to this area and find out there is somewhere I can go to talk about what I dealt with and how I can help.

The 'Breast Yard Sale' is an annual event that takes place the weekend of Memorial Day thru Fathers Day. It is located at 1194 Mud Creek Road in Oregon

This is a sale like no other. You will get the usual items you find at a yard sale. You can also buy new and used bras.

According to our news partner WTVO "The sale was started by Karen Virnoche, a 4-time cancer survivor, and her husband, 14 years ago, after Karen beat cancer for the 3rd time."

The sale will run rain or shine thru the 19th of June. All of the proceeds go towards the American Cancer Society's Relay For LIfe. I am going to have to make a trip out to the farm and say hi to them. My mom would be proud of me. Please help out this great cause.
