Body Pulled From the Rock River

The Winnebago Coroner's Office says what appears to be a female body, was pulled from the Rock River in Rockford on Wednesday afternoon. 

WIFR-TV is reporting that the body was body was located approximately around the 4800 block of South Main Street nearly 15 feet off shore.

Winnebago County Sheriff's Department is in the process of conducting a death investigation in conjunction with the Winnebago County Coroner's office. No identification of the body has been released at this time.

Officials estimate that results from a toxicology test will take approximately two weeks.

No other details have been released.
