Incredibly heartwarming! A blind man with the aid of a bionic eye implant, for the first time in 10 years, is finally able to see his wife.

Allen Zderad, 68, has been married to his wife of 45 years, Carmen. People Magazine reports that he was diagnosed with a genetic degenerative eye disease, which began seriously inhibiting his vision 20 years ago.

Zderad became very emotional when he recognized his wife entering his field of vision. In the video, he describes what he was seeing. He describes a pulsing light with shapes for him to interpret.  He recognized his wife, and was able to turn and shake the hand of the doctor next to him like he could see all along. Zderad told the doctor:

"It's crude but it's significant....It'll work!

Zderad became tearful as he embraced his wife.
