If you have purchased certain brands General Mills Betty Crocker Cake Mixes, don't use them. There has been a recall.

According to Reuters, General Mills is recalling certain mixes of Betty Crocker cake mix due to an E.coli outbreak which involves a certain flour the brand uses.

According to the report:

"The Party Rainbow Chip Cake Mix and Carrot Cake Mix were added to the recall after a General Mills supplier used Wondra flour, which was recalled on July 1, to manufacture flavored chips that are used in these mixes.

In June, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that flour produced at a General Mills plant in Kansas City, Missouri, was probably the source of an E.Coli outbreak that had sickened 38 people in 20 U.S. states."

The good news is that no one has become ill from the mixes. It is more of just a precaution that is good to see. You can either throw away the boxes or take them back to the store you bought them back for a refund.
