A Beloit military mom has been helping troops overseas get the items we take for granted. The need is constant and you can help her.

Linn Krafjack started Operation Ooh-Rah nine years ago, and has sent tons of care boxes overseas. The first project for Operation Ooh-Rah helped out 700 men and women and hasn't slowed down yet.  She told WIFR,

"A young man in his unit had dropped his toothbrush in the sand and it took almost three months to get a government issued brush to that young man and I said, 'That's unacceptable.' From that point on, I started to do care boxes," she says.

Linn plans on sending about two tons of care boxes filled with every day toiletries and more overseas this holiday. She told me she's looking for extra hands to get these packages ready to be sent. Boy and Girl Scouts and youth of all sorts are encouraged, but adults can certainly help, too.

You can contact Linn Krafjack directly at (608) 322-2664.

Operation Ooh-Rah is always looking for donations so head over to OR's Facebook or stop any Associated Bank and ask for the Operation Ooh-Rah account.
