Ashton Illinois Resident Made it to Hollywood on American Idol

If you love American Idol and are paying particular attention to this year's farewell season, then keep your eyes peeled for Tristan Bushman of Ashton.

Tristan received the golden ticket and is on his way to Hollywood.

If you remember about a week and half ago I had mentioned that Tristan Bushman from Ashton would be during the San Francisco auditions. Sadly the show didn't televise his segment of the audition.

I thought maybe he hadn't of made as his facebook page didn't give any clue as if he did or didn't.

If you follow Tristan's page you will see the good news which was reported on SaukValley.com.

Because his audition didn’t air that Thursday (1/7), he wasn’t initially sure he could announce it, but then he got the OK" to do so. Tristan explains that "not every successful audition makes it on the show, but that doesn’t mean he won’t make it on air."

In fact, the show is scheduled to return to the San Francisco auditions next week on January 20 and 21st. Who knows we may catch a glimpse of Tristan there.

Either way it's really cool to know we have one of our own, a local town boy represented our state and town of Ashton. Congratulations Tristan! Good luck! We'll all be watching and rooting for you.
