The last time the impeachment process took place in the United States against a sitting President, started in December of 1998. Almost 20 years later, if one Illinois congressman gets his way, it could happen again.

Chicago Democratic Congressman, Rep. Luis Gutierrez, is spearheading an effort to file new articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump.  According to the Chicago Tribune, Gutierrez hopes to have the charges filed before Thanksgiving.

Gutierrez did not indicate on what grounds the charges would be filed on behalf of Congress, but did indicate "obstruction of justice and possible collusion with Russia."

We believe he’s unfit to be president of the United States, and we believe that he’s violated the Constitution such that he should be impeached.
