The Fatherhood Encouragement Project chooses needy neighborhoods in Rockford to help clean up the community followed by a block party.

They are looking for volunteers this Saturday 9am-3pm.

If you would like to help out, they will meet at the Beyer Elementary school at 333 15th Ave outside of Black Hawk Housing Development. They will be working 4 blocks near the intersection of Seminary and 15th Ave.

Duties will include clean up along with yard work, landscaping, pulling weeds, trimming, and more. Come prepared to work and have fun!

The event will bring together family, friends, and neighbors to improve the city in one of the neediest areas of Rockford.

Following the work will be fun.

They will host a block party as part of the 6th Annual Concert 4 Kidz event in Black Hawk Courts 12-3pm with inflatables, music, Knockerball, food, and beverages.

It will be a great day of family bonding.
