Adidas Created Running Shoes for All 50 States and Illinois’ is Ummm…Interesting
Are you in the market for some new running shoes? Would like to contribute to an amazing cause? You can do both, thanks to Adidas, Refinery 29 and 12 talented female artists.
According to Business Insider, the artists, who were chosen with help from Refinery 29, were asked to design an exclusive line of Ultraboost X running shoes based on the 50 states.
The results were absolutely stunning; however, I'm not sure I'd buy Illinois'. I love the concept, I'm just not sure I love the design.
I mean, it's cute; I'm just not sure it's for me. Maybe my four year old, if I had one.
But seriously, I'm not knocking this shoe, because the campaign that the sale of these shoes supports is all about lifting women up; not tearing them down, and I think we could all use a little more of that these days.
The only way to score a pair is through an online auction, which ends today (July 11); and all of the proceeds will go to Women Win, an organization dedicated to empowering young women to achieve their goals through sports.
If you're interested in bidding on another state's design, you can do that here. Wait until you see Wisconsin and New Jersey's; they'll make you hungry.
