Netflix's Stranger Things is officially a big deal, and now they have their own beer to prove it.

Like always, I am behind the Netflix times since I just decided that Stranger Things will be the next show I binge watch. What made my mind up? The fact that I can now binge watch the show while getting drunk and hoppy at the same time.

Short's Brewing Company in Bellaire, Michigan is home to a new brew called "Chief Hopper", which was inspired by Stranger Things' Chief Jim Hopper.  The brewing company's website describes the new beer as;

a Double IPA hopped with Vic Secret, Simcoe, and Centennial hops. Chief Hopper is deep gold in color and has a dense white head. Dank aromas of pine, grapefruit, pineapple, and mango are accompanied by just a hint of malt. Smooth and balanced in flavor, a citrus forefront is matched with equal malt character.

I'm not really sure what all that means, but it's beer, so I'll try it.

Now, for the most important question, where can I buy this beer?!? After doing a zip code search at shortsbrewing.com , it looks like we need take a short drive North to get our hands on some Chief Hopper. Specifically, these locations in Wisconsin:

  • Bushel & Peck's in Beloit
  • Woodman's Food Markets in Beloit and Janesville
  • Looking Glass in Janesville
  • Buffalo Wild Wings in Janesville
