Rockford River Lights' holiday show has returned along the banks of the Rock River in downtown Rockford once again. This free exhibit has something new this year, and your're going to love it!

If you don't know what Rockford River Lights is, Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau describes it best:

This illuminating illuminating light show is located on the banks of the Rock River between State Street and Jefferson Street bridges. Designed to be viewed from afar as well as up close.

Where is it?

...along the Esplanade on the west bank of the river and the Millennium Fountain and Joe Marino Park path on the east side, between the State and Jefferson Street bridges.

You can see the light show from afar but I would recommend strolling through it on foot, or stroller/wagon if have small children. Dress for the weather and get some good exercising while enjoying some of the interactive light displays, which is new this year.

The show runs every 15 minutes each Friday and Saturday from 5:30pm-8:30pm until December 31st.
