A Blood Moon is forecast for tonight. Late night tonight (Tuesday morning) at about 1:00 am, here in the Rockford area and much of North and South America will have a chance to see a full lunar eclipse. Not only that, it will be the first of four consecutive lunar eclipses during the next two years. Tonight's total lunar eclipse Tuesday that will turn the moon a burnt reddish orange.

There are more blood moons to come. The four blood moons will occur in roughly six-month intervals on the following dates: April 15, 2014; October 8, 2014; April 4, 2015, and September 28, 2015.
