40 Miles of Garage Sales This Weekend

Sale! Sale! Sale! 40 miles of garage sales. That's a lot of bargain hunting!!!

This weekend, June 5th and 6th communities, residents and businesses along Illinois Highway 75 in northern Illinois are having a ton of garage sales

The tradition started in 2002. The Route 75 sales are held annually the first weekend of June along the 40 mile stretch of Illinois Highway 75 between South Beloit and Freeport.
Hundreds of garage sales, flea markets, rummage sales, craft booths and refreshment stands will take place in eight small communities and along the highway between the towns.

If you are an avid garage sale shoppers and A treasure hunter, you will be able to find everything you want want and more along the route. Local businesses and organizations will be going all out to welcome shoppers. In addition churches and organizations have flea markets and rummage sales. Restaurants and vendors sell food.

The sale route follows Illinois Highway 75 across beautiful northern Illinois between
I-90 in South Beloit and US Highway 20 in Freeport.

Garage sale organizers see the Route 75 Sales as a way to introduce visitors to the towns, businesses, rural scenery , and other features of the area.

Also, restaurants will be selling food in small communities and along the highway between the towns.
