Yesterday would have been the 110th birthday of Theodor Geisel, more affectionately known as Dr. Seuss. Kids love him of course, but we adults have a lot to learn from him too.

My family and friends did something pretty cool at the baby shower they threw for me before Ella arrived. They asked guests to include their favorite children's book instead of a card with their gift. Now Ella has an amazing collection of cherished childhood stories which are all signed by the people I hold so dear in my life. Not only is Ella one lucky girl to have these, but I love reminiscing my own childhood as I read through them.

My favorite book by far is Dr. Seuss' "Oh, The Places You'll Go," and here is why. I love this quote, “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose." Awesome. As soon as Ella starts school I plan on secretly having each of her teachers all the way through Senior Year sign a copy of this book for her. I will then give it to her when she graduates. I hope she loves it as much as I do.

My point though is this, we can all learn so much from Dr. Seuss. Here are 30 Dr. Seuss quotes that can change your outlook on life.

Which one is your favorite?
