2014 Wisconsin FFA Talent Contest Winner From Area

If you know me, I am a fan of local FFA Chapters. The Future Farmers of America organization is often forgotten. So when a local singer wins a state competition, it should be announced.

Singing "I Drive Your Truck" from Lee Brice, Jake Stukenberg of Shullsburg, Wisconsin won the 2014 Wisconsin State FFA Talent Contest at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin.

At the 2014 Old Settler's Day Festival, Jake Stukenberg had the chance to tell Lee Brice of his accomplishments. Lee Brice was genuinely impressed, honored and made sure to congratulate Jake on his win.

What's next for Jake?

He is entering his Senior year at Shullsburg High School in Southwest Wisconsin. He is an active FFA member, sings in choir, participates in speech competitions, baseball and more.

After High School he plans on attending college to study music or secondary education.

During the competition, he competed against 40 other participants.

The trophy Jake won in the competition will be displayed proudly, as it should be.
